SGS Gulf Ltd through its strategic partnership with the Dubai Export Development Corporation, offers the growing footprint of the exporters in UAE with inspection, testing and certification services to facilitate trade and clearances in their respective target markets; meeting the statutory quality and safety requirements of destinations like Saudi Arabia , Kuwait, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Nigeria, Egypt etc

 Aiming to assist Dubai based exporters in understanding product conformity requirements of the countries they export to; SGS offers to improve quality, safety, and productivity as well as reduce risk of goods exported thereby adding significant value to trade and its sustainability.

 Dubai Exports, an agency of the Dubai Department of Economic Development, who provides its members with trade information, branding advice, financial, credit facilitation, legal and foreign trade representation and access to potential buyers; signed a Memorandum of Understanding with SGS Gulf Ltd., a leading inspection, verification, testing and Certification Company, to provide export support services to local exporters in the Emirates.

In our attempt to facilitate Dubai’s companies to penetrate newer markets through product and system certification assistance, SGS will aid exporters to ensure that all products being exported to are of high standards and in line with the importing country requirements,” said Dubai Exports CEO Eng Saed Al Awadi.

Our partnership with Dubai Exports allows us to add significant value to companies in Dubai and ensure business sustainability in the UAE, SGS Managing Director Rachid Cherkaoui said.

During the duration of this partnership, employees of Dubai Exports will also be trained on SGS Gulf’s services and both parties will work together to produce awareness publications on selected product standards and certification requirements for key export markets.

 Through this collaboration, SGS Gulf Ltd. will offer its value-added, prioritized (inspection, verification, testing and certification) services to Dubai Exports members, particularly to countries such as Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Egypt etc among several others.

 SGS will also extend on-the-ground assistance with standardization bodies in its operating countries, during international events organized by Dubai Exports. Other assistance available to Dubai Exports’ members will be regular country and sector updates on product import requirements, issued from time to time by Dubai’s trading partners. General assistance and trade advisory services on exporting requirements will also be made available.

 SGS will also extend on-the-ground assistance with standardization organizations in its operating countries during international events organized by Dubai Exports.
